Tian Rotteveel, born 1984, in the Netherlands is a Berlin based composer and choreographer,  committed to a practice of sound, movement, voice and language as equal parameters of understanding and production. These elements in his work are thus processes what can materialize into meaning but also in just merely sensation, common sense and quality. Tian studied music composition at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague (NL) and a dancetraining at SEAD (A) continued into currently studying choreography and dance at HZT Berlin. Tian has been working with Jeremy Wade, Tino Sehgal, David Zambrano, Lea Martini, Chris Leuenberg, David Hernandez, Dansgroup Amsterdam, Liat Waysbort, Diego Gil, Igor Dobricic, and chamber orchestra ‘s ensembles such as MAE-Ensemble, Rosa Ensemble and previously has been teaching regular extended-voice technique trainings to SEAD dance academy, Meg Stuarts/Damaged Goods and Goethe institute Sofia.
